Al Dornisch is a self taught painter and naturalist. His appreciation for nature began in his early childhood days amid the natural beauty of north central Pennsylvania. He studied painting with world-renowned wildlife painter Les Kouba and has won many awards for his work.

Al's charming detailed renderings have been popular for children's books and collectibles. He has traveled the world to study his subjects, from the polar regions of Canada to the savannahs and forests of Africa.
